Please join me on Tuesday June 5th at 375 Hudson Street (just below Houston) for a panel discussion focusing on the new paintings Robert Swain created for the lobby gallery. Panelists include Donald Kuspit, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of art history and philosophy at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and Tricia Laughlin Bloom, American Art Curator at the Newark Museum. The panel will begin at 5:30 PM and will be moderated by Matthew Deleget, the founder of MINUS SPACE Gallery in Brooklyn. The event is sponsored by Trinity Properties and Hines Management; light refreshments will be served after the talk.
SoHyun Bae Paintings at 450 Park Avenue Opens April 25
Please join me and artist SoHyun Bae as we celebrate her show at the 450 Park Avenue/Phillips space (at 57th Street). The reception will be held from 5 -7 PM on Wednesday, April 25th. This is the third show I have organized at the 450 Park space as part of their ongoing rotating series of exhibitions by emerging and mid-career artists.

499 Park Avenue shows Tadasky
499 Park Avenue has nine canvases by the acclaimed Japanese American artist Tadasky on view through Labor Day. Ever since his inclusion in the 1965 Museum of Modern Art exhibition "The Responsive Eye", Tadasky has been admired for his rigorous, controlled approach to painting. Organized in cooperation with D. Wigmore Fine Art; a color brochure with text by Thomas Micchelli accompanies the exhibition.
499 Park is located on the southeast corner of 59th Street and Park Avenue. The show is open to the public 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Gabriele Evertz Exhibition at 499 Park Avenue
Gabriele Evertz is an American painter who applies the history and theory of color to her work. She holds an M.F.A in painting and a B.A. in art history, both from Hunter College where she is has been teaching since 1998. She is a member of the American Abstract Artists who lives in Brooklyn and works in New York City. Evertz's work is included in many institutions worldwide, such as MINUS SPACE, The British Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Harvard University Art Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and Konkrete Kunst Zurich, among others. Ms. Evertz work has been reviewed in publications, such as Artcritical, ArtSlant, Hyperallergic, The New Criterion, Village Voice, and Wall Street Journal.
The exhibition will show five works by Gabriele Evertz and will be held at 499 Park Avenue. The show will run from July 17, 2017 - January 5, 2018. 499 Park is located on the southeast corner of 59th Street and Park Avenue. The show is open to the public 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Landscape Driven Paintings by ClaIre Sherman at 527 Madison Avenue
From October 3 - November 21, 2016, large-scale paintings by Claire Sherman will be on view at the lobby gallery at 527 Madison Avenue, where I coordinate an ongoing program of exhibitions of emerging artists. The reception will be on Tuesday, October 18, from 5 -7 PM. Sherman is represented by the DC Moore Gallery in Chelsea; Sherman will have a show of new work there from October 6 - November 5.
